What are field insights?
Field insights are AI-generated analyses of your crop health based on satellite imagery. Keshtyaar processes satellite data — including NDVI (vegetation index), land surface temperature, and stress indicators — and uses AI to produce a clear summary of your field's condition.
Each insight includes a health assessment, specific recommendations (like adjusting irrigation or scouting for pests), and alerts for any detected stress areas. Think of it as a doctor's report for your field — generated automatically from space.
How do you share an insight?
Sharing takes seconds. Three simple steps:
1. Open your field's insight page — you'll see your latest NDVI chart and AI analysis. 2. Tap the share button — Keshtyaar captures the chart as a preview image automatically. 3. Add an optional caption (up to 500 characters) describing what you see, and post it to the community feed.
Your insight appears in the community feed under the "field-insights" category, where other farmers can see it, react, comment, and share it further.
Why does sharing insights help your community?
When one farmer shares, everyone nearby benefits. Here are four ways shared insights make a real difference:
Early pest and disease warning — A single farmer spotting unusual stress in their field can alert the entire region. Neighboring farmers who see the post can check their own fields before the problem spreads.
Irrigation coordination — Sharing water stress data helps farmers in the same area time their irrigation better and avoid wasting water during critical periods.
Harvest planning — Regional NDVI trends visible through shared insights help farmers coordinate harvest timing and labor, reducing bottlenecks.
Building local knowledge — Every shared insight adds to a growing agricultural knowledge base for your area. Over seasons, this becomes an invaluable resource for understanding local patterns.
What do other farmers see when you share?
When you share an insight, the community sees a post with your NDVI chart as a preview image, your caption explaining what you noticed, and a "field-insights" category tag. Other farmers can like, comment, repost, and bookmark your post.
Important: your exact field location is never shared. Only the aggregated insight data and your chart are visible. Your GPS coordinates, field boundaries, and personal data remain completely private.
How does community knowledge improve your own farm?
Sharing is a two-way street. The more farmers contribute, the richer the data available to everyone — including you.
Browse the community feed filtered by the "field-insights" category to see what other farmers in your region are observing. Follow farmers near you for relevant updates in your personalized feed. Save useful insights with the bookmark feature to reference during your planning.
Over time, you build a network of trusted local sources — farmers whose observations directly help you make better decisions about your own land.
